Events - 2014

December 25

New Year ceremony was organized in the museum with participation of middle grade pupils of the school after А. Sakharov of Yerevan,  their teachers A. Sargsyan, A. Khachatryan and their parents.  During the ceremony was organized the exposition  of drawings made by the same pupils on the subject of educational program "Av. Isahakyan’sFary tales", which will be exposed one month. The pupils not only showed their colorful paintings but also  commented and represented their works.
In the end of the ceremony Santa Claus and Snow Maiden surprised the pupils and gave them gifts.

December 20

With the lecture on the theme “Yeghishe Charents recent years unpublished works” came out Anahit Vardanyan, senior scientific worker of M. Abeghyan Institute of Literature.

November 29

In the museum was held a literary-musical evening which was attended by YSU Military-patriotic Club “Vardanank”. In the measure was sounded poems of very famous arminian and foreign writers and very beautiful songs about autumn.

October 2

In the museum took place the presentation of Mary Shakkar’s book “The borderline between me and strangers”.

November 22

In the museum took place two lectures:”Legacy of Hovhannes Tumanyan’s fairy tales” (Lecturer: Anahit Vardanyan, senior scientific worker of M.Abeghyan Institute of Literature), “Miniatures of Vaspurakan” (Lecturer: Seda Manukyan, scientific worker of Matenadaran, art critic ).

November 20

The last thematic lecture dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Armenian Genocide took place in the secondary school number 1 in Hrazdan. Chief curator of the museum Anjela Khorenyan and head of the department of communication and organizing expositions of the museum Ruzanna Mesropyan came out with a lecture. The participants listened to the lecture with great interest and excitement.
At the end of the event the principal said words of gratitude to the museum for so important patriotic work.

November 14

Thematic lectures dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Armenian   Genocide this time took place  in the cultural center named "Congregation of the Holy Cross" in the town of Echmiadzin. The lecture was attended by students of all ages and their parents. The lecture passed in a very warm atmosphere.

November 5

Thematic lectures dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Armenian   Genocide this time took place  in House of Culture in the village of Oshakan, Aragatsotn region. The lecture was attended by local school pupils, teachers and village residents.

October 30

On the occasion of the 139-th anniversary of Isahakyan in the museum was organized a measure which was attended by many admirers of Isahakyan immortal heritage.
The director of the museum HasmikMelkonyan made an opening speech. Then the Master’s grandson AvikIsahakyan, the president of Writer’s Union Eduard Militonyan, director of the school named after AvetikIsahakyanAnahitKirakosyan, the literary critic AnahitVardanyan, the writer AnushVardanyan, head of the department of organizing expositions and excursions of the museum RuzannaMesropyan and others made speech.

In the end of the lecture were sounded songs by performance of song and talented singers Anna Poghosyan, AndranikMalkhasyan and Diana Harutyunyan. Accompanied the professor of Yerevan State Conservatory Margarita Sargsyan.

October 17

Komitas Park Pantheon was again crowded this day. On the occasion of the poet’s death 57-th anniversary the AvetikIssahakyan memorial museum and library collaborators, the pupils and teachers of the school carrying his name as well as admirers of Isahakyan literary heritage had visited to the tomb of the Master. The poet’s grandson AvikIsahakyan and the writer Henrik Edoyan made their heart’s and estimation speech.
During the ceremony pieces of Isahakyan immortal works were presented by performance of the reciter GayaneSamvelyan and the pupils of the school carrying Master's name.

October 16

In the museum was organized a measure dedicated to the Holy Translators day, participated by the students of Yerevan State Linguistic University after V. Bryusov. During the measure students read Av. Isahakyan’s works at first in Armenian than in different languages.
The measure was organized by the teachers of YSLU after V. BryusovArusyakAndreassian and AzatuhiAbrahamyan.
In the end of the event were sounded some songs on Isahakyan’sliricsand national dances.

October 9

The educational program “The Fables of Isahakyan” being organized and coordinated by the senior researcher Tsoghik Nazaryan and Sona Khecikyan in the garden of the Poet’s museum. The participants were VI and IV grades pupils from the school N69.

On September 27 and 28, in European heritage days, in the circle of measures heading under the title «Looking back 100 years after» dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the First World War the House-Museum of Avetik Isahakyan  participate with the following program:

In the museum took place a lecture on the theme "Miniature of Cilicia: Sargis Pitsak". With the lecture came out art critic and Matenadaran researcher Ovsanna Keshishyan.

Within the educational programs in the museum was organized a summer school titled “A world through Isahakyan's window”. Children of Benevolent Non-Governmental Organization "Orran" spent in famous writer’s House-Museum 5 days.
Different specialists worked with the children: literary critic Anzhela Khorenyan, sociologist, teacher Lilit Matinyan, painter Syuzi Hakobyan, botanist Hovsep Hovsepyan and art critic Sona Khechikyan.
This courses helped children to obtain important experience and knowledge, witch was the main aim of the program. At the end of the program children received certificates and gifts from the museum.

July 8

Director of the museum Hasmik Melkonyan and the assistant of the school Goar Galstyan are awarding certificates to the pupils of the school named after Avetik Isahakyan.

June 21

On the occasion of 100th anniversary of Genocide ’’ a lecture titled ’’Consequences of the Armenian tragedy: the Armenian diaspora’’ was held in the museum dedicated to the Armenian community of Syria. A young writer, artist and publicist Tigran Gapoyan, who was born and lived up to recently in Syria, came out with his report. Referring to the historical past and the present of Syria, citing facts and fragments the speaker presented lots of interesting details about appreciating activities of the great community, as well as current issues in literary and cultural relations.
At the end, after some questions of the audience and responses, ’’Van’’ ethnographic ensemble with their artistic director Andranik Hovhannisyan greeted the audience. They presented folk songs and dances from various states and provinces of historical Armenia, touching and inspiring the audience.

June 10-11

On June 10-11 the staff of the museum visited one of the most beautiful regions of Armenia - Syunik. Museum has organized a series of events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, which should be held in different regions of Armenia. And within these events the first meeting took place in high school after Suren Arakelyan, in the village Tatev. Тhe museum organized exhibition named "Isahakyan and Armenian Great Tragedy", "Armenian vengers", as well as thematic lectures, demonstration of movies. Chief curator of the museum Anjela Khorenyan and head of the department of communication and organizing expositions of the museum Ruzanna Mesropyan came out with a lecture. Pupils organized with the help of their teachers a literary and musical program. Those who were present listened to the lectures and performances of pupils with great interest. From the reaction of audience it was evident that Avetik Isahakyan remained as one of the favorite writer of this holy land and to which the writer dedicated many works. At the end of the event the principal said words of gratitude to the museum for so important patriotic work. The pastor of the monastic complex Tatev Father Michael also joined to those words and promised to help organizing the visit of pupils to the house-museum of Avetik Isahakyan. The organization of this event was assisted by Anna Arshakyan, head of information center of the village.


June 1

A happy ceremony was organized in the museum on June 1, children’s protection day. In the program took part the pupils of training  school«Maksedan» and the  school after Chekhov. Thepupils parents and friends had an occasion to watch the exhibition of painted works of their children on themes of Av Isahakyan’s tales and the performance of the school «Maksedan» on themes of Av Isahakyan’s fables.

After, on the occasion of the feast  a happy and colorful ceremonyinspired children.

May 31

A beautiful and cheerful concert was held in the museum on May 31, called “First steps”, attended by the pupils of  the school “Little Prince”  Rafael Aslanyan (synthesizer) and the Security Guard School of  RF N21  Rafael Shingadzilov ( guitar) .Children performed well-known classic and contemporary works.  All were pleasantly surprised that in  such a short period of time they managed to prepare such an interesting concert program.

The event was attended by friends, relatives and family members of small musicians. This warm family concert was the beginning of a cycle of events organized by the museum dedicated to the Year of the Family.

May 24

On May 24, the museum organized an event dedicated to the 50th anniversary of Vardan Devrikyan, popular participant of the conflict between Azerbaijan and Artsakh, writer and publicist beloved by all, vice-director of the institute of literature after M. Abeghyan of the RA National Academy of Sciences. The event was organized with the collaboration of the club "Vardananq" of the State University of Yerevan, so there attended Vardan Devrikyan’s family and close friends, as well as YSU students and lecturers.
Especially important was the participation of young people, for whom the famous patriotic intellectual activities certainly can be an exemplary lesson in life. The event was started by a message of congratulation by museum director Hasmik Melkonyan, and then were the speeches of national heroes Tatul Krpeyan’s and Vardan Bakhshyan’s sisters’ Ruzan Krpeyan and Anna Bakhshyan, dean of the Faculty of Journalism of YSU Naghash Martirosyan, head of the YSU Department of History Davit Petrosyan, president of the "Vardananq" club Satenik Abrahamyan, and others.
They spoke about high characters of an Armenian, scientist and intellectual, attaching importance to the patriotism, honesty, decency, kindness, modesty, and ability of devotion to the family and his favorite work. The event conducted the student of the Faculty of Journalism of YSU Hripsime Galstyan.


May 17

International Museum day and European Night of museums took place in Armenia and in A. Isahakyan House-Museum particularly on May 17 this year.  This cultural action has already become traditional. This year the slogan of "Museums Night 2014" was "Museums unit us". The House-Museum of Avetik Isahakyan participated with the following program :

  1. 18.00  – readings of Av. Isahakyan’s "Abu Lala Mahari" poem in different languages- Russian, English and Arabic. In this event took part the students of International Journalism department of Yerevan State linguistic University after V. Brusov as well as the students of acting department of  Institute of theatre.
  2. 20.00 – concert "Armenian romance". Took part soloists of the National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet Narine Ananyan, Gevorg Hadjyan, Liana Vardanyan, accompanied by Margarita Sargsyan. There were also sounded some songs on Isahakyan’s lyrics.
  3. The opening of the exhibition "Exhibiting for the first time" also took place. Here were exposed the works of such famous Arminian artists as Saryan, Rukhkyan, Tokmajyan, Aghasyan which have been maintained at the museum funds.
  4. Later, at 23.00 - 24.00 was demonstration of the film «Avetik» of Ruben Kotchar.
During the whole day the museum had many visitors (2260) not only from the capital and many other regions of the republic, but from abroad - Kazakhstan, the USA, Spain, Russia, Iran and the Czech Republic.
May 18

Within the programs of international day of museums took place a lecture on the theme "The image of the element of water" on May 18. Chief curator of the museum Anjela Khorenyan came out with a lecture. In the second part of the event performed a young talented pianist Gevorg Matinyan. On the program:R. Schumann, E. Grieg, Komitas, J. Field Schubert.


May 10
 

Another lecture took place at the museum on may 10 on the theme “Sevan –an eye of Armenia”. Head of the department of organizing expositions and excursions of the museum RuzannaMesropyan came out with a lecture. She represented thoughts and fears of Isahakyan concerning to the problems of Sevan that many years worried him, referring to memories of Isabella Isahakyan, the bride of the writer.


April 26
 

Another lecture took place at the museum. The theme of the lecture was Patriotic poetry of Hovhanes Shiraz. The chosen of the theme wasn’t casual as this year the Armenian people celebrate 100 anniversary of the favorite writer. April is a month of memory of victims of genocide, and for the person and writer Shiraz the loss of Western Armenia is a basis not only for his patriotic poetry but his all life and literary heritage.


19 April
 

Within the framework of lectures dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Armenian genocide an event took place at the museum dedicated to the Armenian community in Poland. Senior researcher of the museum Sona Khechikyan came out with a lecture. She spoke about the Armenians living in Poland then represented the oeuvre of famous Polish-Armenian painter Teodor Axentowicz. The speech was accompanied with a demonstration of artist’s works.


April 5

Within the programs of Francophonie an event took place at the museum. Senior researcher of the museum Mariam Sokhakyan spoke about the years Isahakyan spent in Paris, about his literary, social and political activities at first.
Then the ''Ayb'' high school students read some works of Isahakyan that were translated into French.
In the end of the event were sounded some songs on Isahakyan’s lirics by performance of professor Simonyan and Nelly Grigorian accompanied by Susan Petrosyan and Sona Aghajanian.


March 29

 

     

The event held at the museum on May 29, attended by students of the YSU club “Vardanank” led by Satenik Abrahamyan was dedicated to the famous and favorite writer Levon Khechoyan.
Writers Hakob Movses, Nelly Shahnazaryan and Manik Achemyan spoke about writing activity, works and high personal qualities of L. Khechoyan. The speech of Artsakh war hero Arkadi Ter-Tadevosyan was especially touching. The memories of the honorable Commandos completed the image of L. Khechoyan who was not only a famous writer but also a brave patriot and a fighter for freedom.

During the event the students of "Vardanank" club read Levon Khechoyan’s works and the National Army soldier David Oskanian performed Bach cantat for contrabass. The writer’s son Vano Khechoyan was also present at the event.
